CECO Welcomes New Chief Financial Officer

CECO Engineering Corporation (CECO) & CECO Pipeline Services recently announced that Heath Cleaver has been named the company’s Chief Financial Officer.

Mr. Cleaver is a senior accounting and finance executive who has more than 20 years of experience focused across the energy spectrum including roles with fabrication and manufacturing, drilling services, and E&P companies.

Recently, Mr. Cleaver has been providing CFO consulting services for a diverse range of clients in the home water purification, manufacturing and oil and gas industries. Prior to providing CFO consulting services, Mr. Cleaver was the CFO of Global Fabrication Services, Inc., a privately held flame-cutting and fabrication company, Porto Energy Corp., an oil and gas company publically traded on the Toronto Venture Exchange as well as Chief Accounting Officer of BPZ Resources, Inc., a publically traded oil and gas company with assets in Peru. In each of those roles, Mr. Cleaver played an integral part in setting up many of the corporate functions including finance, accounting and tax systems.

As Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Cleaver will be directly responsible for all of the financial aspects for CECO and CECO Pipeline Services.

Mr. Cleaver is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Texas and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration – Accounting from Texas A&M University.

Mr. Cleaver also serves on the board of Bio-Path Holdings, Inc., (NASDAQ – BPTH) a clinical and preclinical stage, oncology focused antisense drug development company.

Houston Back-to-School Drive Successful

delgado-and-hotze-with-kids-and-supplies Through your generosity the students at Amigos Por Vida Friends for Life School will have a great start to their 2016-2017 school year.

Mark Hotze, President & CEO of CECO Pipeline Services delivered uniforms and supplies to Principal Delgado on behalf of CECO. Together we were able to collect donations to cover two thirds of the PreK through 2nd Grade uniforms and half of their school supply needs.

Special thanks to Esmeralda Padgett, Diana Carney, Kathryn Hyden, Sonya Miller, Karen Subject, Alicia Deskins, and Sarah Evans Carter for collecting money and supplies for these students.

CECO Receives ABC Diamond Safety Award

On Friday, July 8, 2016, CECO ‘s Safety Team, Shane Hungerford, Matthew White, and Kenneth Moseley along with Margaret Ryan-Groppo and Sarah Evans Carter attended the annual American Builders & Contractor’s (ABC) Membership Breakfast at the Junior League of Houston. Both CECO Pipeline Services and Compressor Engineering Corp. were awarded ABC’s highest level safety award, the Diamond Safety Training and Evaluation Process or “STEP” award.

Shane Hungerford, Corporate Health & Safety Manager , credits CECO associates for all of their conscientious safety efforts. CECO continuously strives to achieve a 100% injury free safety environment, and we have made some great strides in attaining this goal. The STEP award represents the fourth safety award recognizing CECO’s achievements. Previously, the International Safety Training Counsel (ISTC) awarded three safety awards to CECO. Additionally, TransCanada’s Safety Forum recognized CECO for its safety culture and achievements.
