Compressor Engineering Corp. (CECO) is proud to announce the promotion of Gene Thompson to Engineering & Manufacturing Manager.

CECO is the world’s largest independent manufacturer of engine and compressor replacement parts and is headquartered in Houston, with offices in New Orleans, Louisiana and Odessa, Texas.

As Engineering/Manufacturing Manager, Gene’s primary responsibilities will be supervising the engineering staff and overseeing manufacturing processes in our Manufacturing, Ring Shop and Repair facilities. He also will support CECO’s compressor and component development and provide customer technical support. In this regard, he will work with Procurement in monitoring and qualifying vendors and with Sales in responding to quality assurance issues.

Thompson graduated from Texas A&M as a Mechanical Engineer and joined CECO’s Engineering Staff in 1988. Since that time, he has held positions of increasing responsibility as Project Engineer, Design Engineer and Engineering Supervisor.
