Nick Fury Announces Retirement After 30 Years with CECO

HOUSTON, TEXAS. After much thoughtful consideration, Nick Fury, Branch Manager of CECO New Orleans, and Lynn Fury, Sales Assistant, announced their retirements effective November 15, 2005.

“CECO has been very good to us over the years,” said Lynn. “It has enabled us to educate our children, live more than comfortably, and spoil our grandchildren. I will miss my friends at CECO.

Nick and Lynn have five children and nine grandchildren.  Lynn says that if she doesn’t like retirement after 10 years, she’ll come back.  Nick plans to enjoy playing tennis and traveling with Lynn.  They are both avid gardeners -- Lynn has been a tour guide at the Botanical Gardens in New Orleans for years.  The couple plans to volunteer their time in replanting trees, roses and palms in this New Orleans City park that were devastated during hurricane Katrina.

“We have lots of work to do during our retirement,” said Lynn.  “I’ve got a to-do list that will last us about ten years.  Our families need us for sheetrock and painting.  Our family’s homes are still in need of rebuilding after the storm.  We will be at are grandchildren’s ballgames non-stop.  Our grandson is even in the football state championship; we have lots ahead of us.”

Richard Hotze reflected, “It will not be easy to continue in their absence.  We recognize with great appreciation for Nick’s contribution to the compressor industry which has been equaled by few, surpassed by none.  Nick has performed marvelously and many generations of the CECO family will benefit from his work.

“I speak for the whole family when we say that you both will be missed as an active part in our daily lives,” Richard said.

CECO's customers include gas pipelines, gathering and processing companies, petrochemical, industrial and refrigeration plants worldwide.
