Randy Anderson was the previous owner of ACTT prior to the acquisition by CECO in August 1999. Anderson has over 30 years experience in the natural gas engine and compressor industry. He began his career at Panhandle Eastern Pipeline in 1974 as a casual laborer, and ultimately became Senior Engineer for Plant Operations and Maintenance at Panhandle Eastern, Texas Eastern, and Trunkline.

With Randy’s practical experience as a member of a maintenance crew, an operator, an equipment analyst and a technician, he is noted for his ability to relate with people from every area of gas transmission.

A native Kansan, Vietnam veteran, avid hunter and fisherman, Randy and his wife have resided in Houston for the past nine years.

Ed Kolb

Ed Kolb started with CECO Training & Technical Services in 2007 as a Compression Specialist; he conducted many field testing projects and also taught many of our instructor-led training classes, from engine balancing, analyst training and applied principles of engines and compressors to basic commercial electronics.

As Manager of Technical Services, Ed continued to train and deliver field services such as performance testing, horsepower curve development, emissions testing and engine and compressor troubleshooting.

Now General Manager of CECO Training & Technical Services, Ed is a working operations manager, participating in many of our field testing services, delivering instructor-led classes and developing new services for CECO clients.

Ed began his career from 1996-2000 with the U.S. Air Force as an Avionics Technician.  He then worked for Dynalco, performing monitoring and analysis services for reciprocating machinery, leading training classes, supporting customers and managing projects.

Originally from South Florida, Ed and his wife Tina now live in the Houston area, where Ed plays golf and enjoys sports and outdoor fun.  Ed derives much satisfaction by sharing his experiences and knowledge of natural gas and petro-chemical industries with CECO associates and customers.

Manny Angulo

Manny has worked within the petrochemical industry since his 1988 graduation from Michigan Technological University with a BSME. He has worked for pipelines (Panhandle Eastern and El Paso), analyzer manufacturers (Liberty Technologies and Dynalco), and engineering consultants (BETA Machinery Analysis). During this time he performed engineering testing, completed contract analysis, supported analysis programs, and trained personnel at all organizational levels.

Over the years, he developed an improved single set of equations that model both horsepower and flow through a reciprocating compressor, assisted in the implementation and on-going support of organizational wide analysis programs, standardized engine and compressor analysis procedures throughout the industry, and improved economic calculations utilized in engine and compressor analysis.

Manny loves transferring knowledge to personnel throughout the industry on technical topics. His varied experience allows him to instruct a wide range of audiences with simple easy to understand explanations.

In his spare time he enjoys sailing, skiing, country western dancing, volunteering for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, and traveling the world.
