RECEPTIONIST
Position Summary
The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for visitors and callers while maintaining reception and common areas. This role also provides administrative support to HR, Safety and other departments.
Position Key Accountabilities:
- Answer and direct phone calls in a professional, customer–service–oriented manner.
- Welcome and assist visitors in a professional and friendly manner, providing company information and ensuring proper sign–in procedures are followed.
- Maintain reception area and all common spaces in a clean and organized manner.
- Operate standard office equipment, such as copiers, printers, and scanners.
- Sort and distribute incoming mail.
- Prepare safety reports, including hours worked log.
- Maintain accurate records of safety reports, meeting attendance, and test completion using Excel.
- Administer the Safety Incentive Program by updating employee points, verifying invoices and assisting with award redemptions.
- Coordinate annual uniform distribution and maintain accurate records.
- Plan, organize, and execute company events in collaboration with the HR team.
- Regular, in–office and reliable attendance is required.
Certifications/Skills:
- Demonstrates professionalism in appearance and conduct.
- Strong interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills, including written, verbal, and active listening abilities.
- Punctual with strong attendance record.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to multi–task and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
Minimum Education:
High School Diploma
Minimum Experience:
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in an administrative field.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Sufficient visual acuity to perform work tasks accurately.
- Exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or up to 5 pounds constantly to move objects.
